Editorial Policy

Kaomojis’s editorial policy explains how the Kaomojis Editorial Team builds and checks nickname pages for Discord, iMessage, Instagram and TikTok: every nickname is made from Unicode characters, symbols are marked works, blocked or shows as a box only after a dated test on a named device and game version, and pages are re-checked every 180 days.

How nicknames are built

Each nickname is written with Unicode letters and symbols, never images or fonts. Every list shows the character count of each nickname so you can compare it with your game’s name limit. Lists are written by us; we do not copy other sites’ lists.

How a symbol is tested

  1. The exact text is pasted into the rename or name field of the game or app.
  2. We record the phone model, the game or app version and the date.
  3. The result is written as works, blocked or shows as a box.
  4. Untested nicknames say “not yet tested”. Reader reports are added only with device, version and date.

What a test record looks like

Kaomoji Where Result Checked

Retest schedule

Every page is reviewed every 180 days, and symbol results are re-tested when a game update changes its name rules.

What we never publish

  • Faces copied from other sites’ lists without checking.
  • Hateful or sexual kaomoji.
  • Invented usage stats or fake popularity counters.
